Weekly Favorites: Makeup

One thing I use daily is makeup just because I love how you can create something awesome with a few strokes of a brush with a little eyeliner and mascara her and there. Being that makeup is one of my favorite things to play with I thought it would be a good idea to use this week’s favorites to show you all some of my favorite makeup that I can’t stray away from. Most of the makeup in the post you can find at your local drugstore, Walmart, Target whatever is close to you (I’ll leave a §next to them).Sadly, I couldn't find the exact products that are from Mary Kay but I did find some similar.

Mary Kay Be Radiant Baked Powder (Dusk)- This is a limited edition powder that I took from my mom’s makeup bag one day just to try it out and well I haven’t gave it back sense. The mixtures of the colors first off are just beautiful in the packaging itself. When I put it onto my face I can honestly see I the colors brightening my face as well as adding a little shimmer. I use this powder to highlight and contour sometimes but I mostly just use it on my cheeks and T-zone to add some color to my face and brighten it up.

Mary Kay liquid eyeliner (Skyline) - I actually put this in my in my makeup bag thinking it was my black eyeliner (which I talk about next in this post). At first I didn’t know when I would actually use a purple eyeliner. But low and behold the makeup gods shined down on me and helped me. I actually found a vintage forever 21 shirt crop top that my mom bought back in the day (It probably wasn’t that long ago but you get the point) that had multiples colors including the same shade of the eyeliner! If I do say so myself I looked really cute. But back to the eyeliner I really do like it’s a nice color to wear during the fall and around Easter.

Mary Kay liquid eyeliner (Black) – This eyeliner I’ve had for a while and I really don’t want to think about what I’m going to when I officially run out of it (which will happen soon that’s how much I use it). This was one of the first liquid’s I actually started using and I love the way it slides on so smooth (well depending on how steady your hand is) and it doesn’t smudge throughout the day even when I sweat… Well I wonder if that has to deal with the concealer but you guys get my point.

§Maybelline Great Lash Mascara- This was actually introduced to me by my hair and makeup guru… Queen Shelia Perry (#stylesbyshelia on Facebook and Instagram check out her work & book an appointment) when she did my makeup for prom and I absolutely love it! After a few coats of this on my lashes and they look so long and beautimous (credit to Elisabeth Davis). With the small wand it’s a little easier to get those bottom lashes and it gives the volume & definition you love.

§LA Colors Concealer (nude) - I bought this when I was at a local drug store one day when I first moved to California on impulse mostly because I really wanted a concealer to help hid some of my spots on my face and cover the bags I get under my eyes sometimes. To say I just like it is a lie I actually really like it (not love because I would like to try out some different concealers) It has a really good coverage and for some reason I am really obsessed with the brush when it comes to applying it (it slides on really easy by the way) and it has comes in handy as a nude eye shadow (add a glittery eye shadow on top) when you put it on your lids to keep your eyeliner from smudging.

§Wet n Wild Blush-When my mom gave this for me to use for a modeling competition I was a part of I fell head over heels in love with it the color is amazing and when I say it looks wonderful on my skin I’m not lying I honestly just can’t get enough of it. I use this blush every time I do my makeup. I haven’t really found another blush that I actually really like as much as this one but this is defiantly one I want to keep in my collection for a long time.
